Services
If you were in Orange Connecticut in 1639 you would have met the first members of the Hine family to put down roots in the area.
While being local farmers for the first 380+ years, our family is well known throughout New Haven county.
Our work ethic and honesty IS our reputation, and we carry that with us on every job we do.
Early in the beginning of the last century our family entered the paving business and are still in it today.
We perform work that spans from pothole and crack repair to paving and striping commercial parking lots.

Paving driveways, from initial paving to repaving, is our bread and butter.
We have literally paved thousands of driveways in the Orange, Bethany and Woodbridge area as well in every other town in New Haven County.
We do it right the first time leveraging decades of experience.
The result is a driveway that will last for up to 20 years, that will drain right and that will survive through constant use and the harshness of our New England climate.
By using the right equipment, the best materials and installation expertise, your end result will be one you (and we) can be proud of.

Sealcoating your driveway is a great way to add life to a faded existing asphalt driveway.
If your driveway is at least a year old, but not to the point where it needs replacement, sealcoating can restore a "just paved" look to it for less than the cost of repaving.
Sealcoating protects what you have, hides stains and restores a uniform dark appearance that will enhance the overall look of your driveway.
Its a process where a liquid top layer is added over your existing pavement and allowed to dry and harden, sealing and protecting the asphalt underneath.

HINE paving has the capability to handle any size commercial crack fill job.
When parking lot maintenance requires tens or hundreds of yards of pavement cracks to be filled we have the commercial grade equipment to tackle it.
Our continuous-feed units allow for an unlimited application of 400 degree hot rubber crack fill.
Towed behind a vehicle with pallets of rubber fill material added to maintain constant application, quick work can be made of your most damaged parking lot areas.
With a rapid setup time your parking lot operations will be minimally impacted.

If you have an existing driveway the first step will be to remove the asphalt layer.
We then prepare the base layer the new asphalt will be placed over.
The goal is to ensure that your new driveway drains correctly and is built on a stable, compacted sub-layer that will prevent movement.
The base layer is typically crushed course gravel.
This is rolled and compacted to form your stable base layer.
Hot asphalt is then applied over the base to a height of 3 inches and then rolled and compacted to 2.5 inches.
