Michigan Concrete Paving Association
Here you will find resources for ready mix producers, pavers, engineers, contractors, suppliers & homeowners. You can also register for one of our upcoming certification classes or events. MCA offers a variety of certification programs to meet the growing demands of having certified professionals design, place, finish, and test concrete. We're here to help you make the right choices in today's complex design and construction environment.

When designed and properly constructed, concrete parking lots are the strongest and longest-lasting parking/pavement surface available. Just like any other surface, however, it does have a lifespan and will not last forever. The key is to recognize the signs (besides normal wear and tear) that your parking lot is nearing its end and addressing it before significant deterioration occurs.

So you've decided to take the plunge and put in a new concrete driveway at home or a parking lot for your business. After comparing the types of concrete contractors, you've reached out to local concrete contractors and you're accepting bids.

Concrete is one of the oldest and most widely used construction materials.
An ancient site in northern Israel was discovered in 1982 and was deemed one of the oldest permanent villages ever found.
Upon unearthing the settlement, they discovered it had a number of concrete floors.
The Pantheon in Rome is another example of ancient concrete construction.
Given its long and robust history, why wouldn't you choose a material that provides benefits to not only the client, but also the designer and the contractor?
Concrete and asphalt are both good options for a paving project, but only one is a solid long-term investment that will last for decades and give you a multitude of design options.
When you're starting a paving project, you have some choices when it comes to the materials you use.
Concrete and asphalt are both valid choices for a driveway, parking lot, patio, or even a highway, and at first glance they might not seem that different.
But if you take a closer look at the durability, maintenance, quantity required for each material, and decorative options, the differences will start to reveal themselves.
Concrete is durable, long-lasting, and requires little maintenance, making it a smart investment for your business parking lot.
Building a successful business is all about knowing where to invest your time and your money.
You might not consider your parking lot an important place to invest, but as the first and last thing your customers see, it's worth putting some money into.
Your parking lot can say a lot about your business, and a lot full of potholes, cracks, and standing water is not the impression you want to give.
