Our company was started by Victor Bothwell in 1956 when he immigrated to the United States from Ireland.
During the summer of 1958 he decided to return home to follow in his fathers footsteps as a dairy farmer.
His younger brother Ernie Bothwell our current President, and his younger brother Gerald took over the company and guided it through decades of growth in lower Fairfield County.
Darien Asphalt Paving & Excavating Inc. has become a full service site development company.
In 1996 Ernest Bothwell took over the day to day operations and continues to serve our customers needs.
