Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding our services and maintanence of asphalt.
A. Workable conditions for installing asphalt driveways is dependent on air tempature and the amount of inches of hot mix asphalt being installed.
If the air tempature is say 40 degrees farienheit and a driveway with a 1.5 thick layer of asphalt is being installed, the asphalt must be properly graded and compacted within 16 mins or the driveway will be uneven and lumpy.
If you increase the thickness of the layer of asphalt, this also increases the length of time available to grade and compact the asphalt.
